Two Steps Forward One Step Back

God this is a struggle, one of my three options fell through today. The position was for a French poker room manager and I did ask if the candidate needed to speak French. I was told it wasn’t essential. After answering a bunch of questions I was given a phone interview but within the first five minutes they said I don’t have a French accent. Turns out you actually do need to speak French . Dublin down, London and Philippines (not Hong Kong) to go.

Second Stage

Well I’ve been out of work longer than I expected but I’ve recently had some good news. I’m on the second stage of interviews for two jobs and got a phone call for another possibility yesterday. One’s in London another in Dublin and the latest is in Hong Kong. I’ll be the first to say I’ve been feeling down recently so I’m happy to get some good news for once. I’m not their yet though.

Stallone Keeps Getting Better

Just finished watching “The Expendables” quite easily the most action packed film I’ve seen. I thought with all the little cameo roles and so many names it might end up being corny however it was actually well balanced. Each actor got their own part and the action just kept ramping all the way to the end. The CGI was a little bad and the plot line wasn’t very original but overall it’s my favourite film of this year.

If you haven’t seen and you like explosions, over the top gore, MMA and guns I highly recommend you watch it.

Mario Cart Symbols

An interesting news report about some kids (I assume) that have spray painted Mario Cart Symbols on the bake lanes in Portland. The symbols are Mushrooms, Bannanas Stars etc. Quite cool I hope they don’t remove them.
