So the adaptor was broke, but at least I know the camera works. At the moment I have no sound, so I need a microphone for the AV in lead followed by a 1Gig smart card and game on. 

The picture on the right is the actual size of the camera, that’s why I am supprised it gives such a good picture. At least you can see the type of quality you are in for, I give you The Test.
